Tuesday Tactical Race – 4 points up for grabs!
This award is given to encourage riders to improve their riding skills. All the points earned will be accumulated till the end of the year and award for the winner will be given at our year end Christmas gathering. The whole idea of this … is to improve riders sprinting skills and in a way it is interval training.
The new Champion will hold the title for the whole of next year.
Please note that safety is the #1 priority!
Here are the 4 areas you can win points on Tuesday rides. Please note that it is important to regroup after each point. Otherwise your win at the next point will not be recognized if U did not regroup.
Breakaway can start after the left turn to Mandai, please note no breakaways are allowed before certain route locations, for your own safety:
1. Mandai ... last bus stop before Shell/Mandai traffic lights.
Regroup till Kranji last traffic lights, just before Neo Tiew & Kranji Dam before any breakaway.
2. Top of Mount Neo Tiew ... yellow finish line (specially painted by our 5am Angel!)
Regroup till the 1st traffic lights at the start of the 3 lanes LCK before any breakaway
3. LCK ... last bus stop before traffic lights.
Regroup till first traffic light of Jalan Buruh. This is to avoid any "breakaway" in between the many traffic lights that might tempt someone to beat a red light
4. Jln Buruh ... over the top of last bridge - Mercedes logo.
Regroup at the West Coast traffic and enjoy the ride back together. The rider with the most points for the day will be declared the winner for the day.
